Bicester TT club new sponsors
The following article is due to appear in the local press and focusses on the growth of Bicester and District Table Tennis Club.
"Bicester and District Table Tennis ClubÔÇÖs coaching policy is paying dividends as the club is undergoing a new resurgence in the Oxford Table Tennis League. The club has been running now for over 25 years and has always had adults competing at the highest level but now due to the excellent coaching program run by Mike Jobling and Tony Gorman, they now have a strong contingent of juniors and cadets making a name for themselves in the Oxford League. In fact Bicester currently boasts the number 1 and 2 juniors in the county, 15 year old Lewis Sumner, who has only been playing a couple of years, is No 1 followed by Jack Shardlow in the number two spot, besides both player competing for honours in their respective divisions they are also competing and performing admirably in national tournaments. Cadet players Luke Jobling (Oxford Cadet), Jamie Felton and Tom Brennan have all been introduced to league competition this year and are doing extremely well, and with 5 or 6 more cadets looking to make the jump into competitive table tennis next year, the future is looking rosy for Bicester Table Tennis. Due to the increased success the club has recently secured sponsorship from Joblings KIA and Homegoods, funds that help provide new coaching equipment and shirts the club. The clubs practices on Thursday nights at the Launton Sport and Social Club, if you are interested in joining the club then please contact Mike Jobling on 01869247901 daytime"
